Emily’s career change from urban planner in the local government space to lawyer specialising in planning is a win: win for Kelledy Jones and our clients.
She has intimate experience with local government planning processes, having worked as a planner at various councils for more than a decade, and has extensive knowledge of the challenges, processes, relationships and culture of local government.
Emily is an up and coming specialist in planning law, and now represents councils, related entities and statutory authorities in planning, building and development matters.
Emily is approachable and professional with a well-developed ability to focus on issues from the client’s perspective. She is motivated by achieving positive outcomes for the people she represents.
She also has experience at Ombudsman SA and provides advice and representation on a broad range of matters across our wide practice areas.
She has been published in national legal publications and has presented at training and Q&A sessions for our clients.
When she is not at work, Emily enjoys expanding her indoor plant collection and gardens and has a penchant for fashion, particularly vintage clothing.
